What we collect, why, who handles it, how long we keep it, and your rights. Last updated 6 October 2026.
What’s On Ynys Môn is run by one person on Anglesey, who is responsible for the personal information described here (the “data controller”). Contact: hello@whatsonynysmon.co.uk. The site is in English and hosted by Webflow.
Our forms are List your event (new event, update or cancellation) and, on For businesses, Add a place, Claim or update a listing, and Promote. The weekly email sign-up is covered under Weekly email below. Depending on the form, we collect:
We use this to review your request, contact you about it, and confirm changes, cancellations and ownership claims with the organiser or business through contact details they already publish. Submissions are stored privately in our Webflow account. Only the event or business details that are meant to be public, such as a description or a public phone number you ask us to show, appear on the site after an editor checks them.
To stop spam, form pages use Cloudflare Turnstile. It checks that a person is sending the form and processes information about your browser and device to do so.
We receive your email address and message. Mail to our address is passed on by our domain provider’s email forwarding service to a private mailbox. We use your message only to reply and to act on what you tell us.
We don’t set cookies. The site uses your browser’s session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab and isn’t sent to us, to:
These are needed for features you use, so we don’t ask for consent. If we ever add analytics or anything else that isn’t essential, we’ll ask you first and it won’t run unless you agree.
We rely on legitimate interests: running an accurate local guide, dealing with requests people send us, and keeping the site secure. When you send a form, we also use your details to take the steps you asked for. For the weekly email, we rely on your consent, which you give by ticking the box when you sign up. You can withdraw it at any time.
Webflow (hosting and form storage), Cloudflare (form security), and our domain provider’s email forwarding service. The weekly email will be sent through an email delivery service, which we’ll name here before the first email goes out. Webflow is based in the United States, so your information may be processed there. The safeguard that covers this transfer is to be confirmed.
If you sign up for the weekly email, we collect your email address and, if you give them, your first name, the topics you’re interested in and the part of the island you prefer, plus which sign-up form you used and when. We use these only to send you the weekly email with things to do, local offers and tips, and to make it more relevant to you. Sign-ups are stored privately in our Webflow account. Signing up is always a separate choice: sending a listing or request never signs you up. Some items in the email may be paid promotions from local businesses. These are always labelled Sponsored, and we never give your email address to those businesses or anyone else. Every email will include a link to unsubscribe, or you can email us at any time and we’ll remove you.
Prize draw: until 11:59pm on 13 December 2026, everyone who signs up is entered into a free draw for a Welsh food and drink hamper. If you enter by email instead, we use your name and email address only to run the draw and contact the winner, and delete them within 3 months of the closing date. We’ll show the winner’s first name and county on the draw page unless they ask us not to. Full details are in the prize draw terms.
We don’t take payments on this site. A promotion enquiry doesn’t book or charge anything. If we add payments, we’ll update this notice before any are taken.
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or object to or limit how we use it. Email hello@whatsonynysmon.co.uk and we’ll reply within one month. If you’re unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
We’ll update this notice when the site changes, and change the date at the top.
